Omid was educated as an architect, with a deep interest in form-making and the relationship between space, enclosure, and the objects that emerge from the utilitarian workings of habitable environments. While architecture offers powerful opportunities for creative expression, it can also be constrained by client requirements, budgets, and functional demands, limiting its full potential as an artistic medium.

The work presented here is an exploration of alternative approaches to form-making through structure, shape, multifaceted palettes, materials, and transparency. Traditional notions of frontal view and symmetry are set aside in favor of a balanced, perspectival approach to creating spatial constructs.

It has long been understood that when human beings work together as an organism, energy is used in a way that is more satisfying, efficient, and respectful. Omid embraces this philosophy through a narrative of circular construction and making. All materials used in his artwork are reclaimed from discarded objects and materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.

By combining diverse materials and found objects, Omid creates hybrid, pluralistic works that embody hope while capturing and preserving a moment in time. Each piece represents a cross-section of the world we live in. These works are often elevated from the ground and characterized by angular, irregular, and dynamic forms.

We assess what is unique about a person, place, or context, as well as the intent behind each piece. Through the combination of seemingly contradictory and analogous objects and materials, we create balanced works of art that are both dynamic and peaceful—pieces that embody motion while maintaining a sense of calm.
